So we’ve just wrapped up week three in our new home, and we have two things to say: 1) Being awesome is a choice. 2) It’s totally worth it. So much so that we made a bunch of hand-screenprinted stuff about it. Cards, limited edition prints, t-shirts and onesies. Available in the shop now, online soon… Other newness of note: we are now carrying some pretty sweet little bags made by our friend Pixie of [3]Fusskerfuffle. To us, for whatever reason, is the funniest birthday card ever: Links: 5. http://bricoshoppe.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=4e1c7cb1268be308aae6513a0&id=8e26f20d82&e=884dbc431e First Thursday is coming up really soon I think. Oh wait. It’s tomorrow. _Sneakiest day ever! _We are excited to host the first-ever exhibition of Boise High School senior (and our lovely Summer intern), Elissa Johnson. Elissa’s artwork utilizes various combinations of graphite, pen, watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils and charcoal to portray people, animals, and the relationships between them. Often colorful and slightly surreal, her work explores different mediums, substrates and styles. In conjunction, we’ll have Jennie Jorgensen here with her collection of illustrations from [6]Josh Gross’ new book “Secrets & Lies”. Send us an email or stop by with information about your work! _Have you been living under a rock?_ If so, you might have missed some of the photos from our grand re-opening party last month. [7]Here they are on facebook. (Become a fan! It’s like crawling out from under a rock!) And [8]here they are in stop-motion-video form. We are their merchandise partner (we made sweet little screenprinted Moleskin notebooks & “Story Story Nighties” which are available for purchase at their events). We also are in charge of making “trophies” for their featured story tellers. This month’s theme was FIRE…stories of getting “burned”. We took a pretty literal approach: (It’s a piece of firewood, with the word “BURN” spelled out. In matches.) It’s one of Boise’s best events—last Monday of every month—and now happening at the Rose Room! We’re moving. Again. This means a few things: 1) We will be closed from Sunday, July 24th through Thursday, August 4th 2) We are having a grand re-opening celebration that is going to be off the chizzy 3) What’s a chizzy? 4) Our website is always open! Shop online and read our blog [3]here. 5) There are only 3 days left to come see the living art show that we are currently housing—if you haven’t seen it—DO—it’s incredible 6) We’re having an estate sale of sorts (just odds and ends) at the _old_ Bricolage on Saturday, July 30th. Come down from 11-6 and help us clear out the clutter that is weighing us down! 7) We need some help! Do you have big strong muscles? Do you have a rough and tumble pickup truck? We’ve had lots of offers, and are so grateful for all the help we’ve already received. If you would like to lend us a hand, drop us a line by email or phone and let us know what your availability/superpower is.
Watch for me as Trey McIntyre Project’s “walking billboard” for First Thursday tonight!
